OEP Target Project Areas

OEP has examined potentially suitable sites around the UK and Europe. Target projects have been identified in:

Scotland - the Pentland Firth has some of the best tidal stream resources in the world. OEP has identified a site for a 100MW tidal stream array which will be progressed when The Crown Estate licenses areas suitable for commercial developments.

South West of England - this area has good wave resources. OEP has identified a site for a 50-80MW offshore wave energy farm. This site will be further developed once a sea bed license has been obtained from The Crown Estate.

Further exploration of opportunities is currently being undertaken in the waters of the Irish Sea, the Channel Islands and the Iberian Peninsula.
