A number of companies in the UK and elsewhere have developed
innovative technologies to harness and convert the energy contained in
waves and tidal currents. OEP is technology neutral and will
purchase from companies
with proven equipment to deploy in its projects. Companies
that are

Pre-commercial test facilities are in operation at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in the Orkneys and are under construction at the Wave Hub facility in Cornwall.
